We have a fantastic opportunity for an innovative and experienced Learning Support Officer and Personal Care Attendant to join Penola Catholic College and work in a supportive and collaborative environment.

As a Learning Support Officer and Personal Care Attendant will be responsible for supporting and assisting students with additional needs. The role will provide assistance in the classroom and out of the classroom working closely with teaching staff and Learning Diversity Teachers to ensure our students with additional needs are given every assistance to learn and reach their full potential. The staff member designated to this position is to bear in mind the confidentiality of some of the information made available through the role and thus apply a professional approach in all matters pertaining to the role.

This is a fixed term part time role 0.80FTE, Monday to Friday, which attracts twelve weeks of annual leave (to be taken during the school holidays) and will commence in Term 2. 

About You

To be successful you will have previous experience in learning support roles and/or supporting students, with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise professional judgement at all times, experience in Personal Care is desirable. Previous experience working in a large secondary College would be advantageous. You must have a valid Working With Children Check.

You will also have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.
