Following this review, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and highly skilled Director of Students (Senior) (POL4+) to join Penola Catholic College from 2025 to 2027.As the Director of Students you will be responsible for the guidance and support of senior (Yr 11 & 12) students. You will promote pastoral care that authentically reflects the shared vision and values of our community. You will create a learning environment where students feel safe and connected, are self-reflective and aspirational, and engaged and compassionate citizens. You will continually identify opportunities in which students may be supported to reach their full potential and learn to contribute to the rapidly changing world with confidence, integrity and resilience.Please note an ongoing teaching appointment is attached to the position.About YouTo be successful you will have a demonstrated understanding of contemporary wellbeing research and practice, with expert knowledge of programs, practices and protocols for student wellbeing. You will also be able to demonstrate and model contemporary teaching practice: understanding how students ‘learn best’. You will also have a demonstrated knowledge of the Australian curriculum frameworks and have a demonstrated capacity to provide leadership that is characterised by a desire for continuous improvement, lateral thinking and innovation, holding team members to account where necessary.
