Following this review, we have two fantastic opportunities for experienced and highly skilled Learning Diversity Leaders (POL3) to join Penola Catholic College from 2025 to 2027.Penola Catholic College acknowledges that each student is a unique individual. Many students have additional needs that require attention on the journey along the learning continuum. The Learning Diversity Program compliments the pastoral care and curriculum offered at the College to enable each student to experience success and growth in their learning. For some students curriculum programs may be altered to create a positive learning environment to meet individual needs.As the Learning Diversity Leader you will support students who require an altered learning program or who are funded to receive support for their individual needs.There are two Learning Diversity Leaders – one for Years 7 to 9 and the other for Years 10 to 12. It is expected that the Learning Diversity Leaders will collaborate to ensure consistency in Learning Diversity at the College.Please note an ongoing teaching appointment is attached to the position.About YouTo be successful you will have demonstrated and explicit understanding of individualised instruction and differentiated instruction. You will also be able to demonstrate and model contemporary teaching practice: understanding how students ‘learn best’. You will also have a demonstrated knowledge of the Australian curriculum frameworks and have a demonstrated capacity to provide leadership that is characterised by a desire for continuous improvement, lateral thinking and innovation, holding team members to account where necessary.
